Day 3 of Australian Open - and I bet all the attention would be placed on the Davenport vs. Sharapova showdown. It's really hard to pick a winner out of these 2 stunning tennis ladies - one who has delivered steady performances since her comeback in fall 2007 (of course I have always loved her style since she was world No. 1 back then), and then the other one who has vowed to improve her paltry 2007 showing of only 1 career win. But the current world No. 5 Sharapova is often a favorite because she dazzles the courts more than any other female players in the competition.
Quite a few players that I'm rooting for - Andy Roddick (repeat the success at the Kooyong Classic come on!), Rafael Nadal (it's about time federer takes a break), Lleyton Hewitt (I don't know why but I also wanted an Australian to win this too), Maria Sharapova (everyone's fave eye candy, but I think it's a extremely tough battle esp. against Henin), Jelena Jankovic (her first round encounter was simply too motivational - she totally deserved to advance), and all the representatives from the Asian continent too.
And I just can't wait to play tennis again when I recover, haven't played since November...
