Had a different evening yesterday. We went to watch some old film by the Beatles, with many others at the open air screening at the National Musuem. Though the conversation was quite hard to comprehend for most parts of the film and the colors were restricted to shades of black and white, we enjoyed the experience of lazing on the grass under the starlight, with the musuem in the background and SMU just next to us.

That was after a fulfilling dimsum meal at Vivocity - seems like we haven't gotten enough of Hong Kong cuisine at all. Anyway, I was very glad to get out of school (sorry to the volleyball fellas!) because it was simply too crowded and noisy. Hmm I think we have somewhat morphed into anti-social creatures haha! Anyway frankly speaking, I really can't get used to being back in school, and the first week was a struggle. A struggle to adjust myself to the increasing workload, hectic schedules, noise pollution, new group of friends, early mornings and many more. Partly due to the ten weeks at OCBC, which made me feel so much like a working adult. And of course, I was also missing my dear friend, who has already made my campus year an interesting and unforgettable one. Never mind that you are not coming back because you have never left me, and all of us.
I was indeed procrastinating so much to start on this blog entry because so much had happened in the past 4 weeks. The HK trip blew me away and I had a GREAT time eating, shopping, playing, walking around and spending time with my sweetheart! The 5 days in HK were so tiring because we trawled almost every single shopping mall and shop along Mongkok and Causeway Bay. And not forgetting the food - I love the mango desserts and the dimsum buffet and Krispy Kreme donuts and the fried wings, oh yah and the roadside snacks in Shenzhen (so cheap and satisfying!) Sorry I get carried away easily when the topic comes to food. Haha!
I really take my hat off her, there were times when I was really exhausted from walking too much and exploring places, and she would be going "But I'm not done yet" GIrls are made for shopping - no doubt about that.
The best part of the trip has to be Disneyland! The Disneyland experience was phenomenal and I suppose every visitor felt the same way as we did. We loved the performances, the rides, the gift shopping, the photo-taking and the fireworks display. As it was my first time visiting Disneyland, I never quite understood how it was like being a child all over again - thus it felt a little surreal at first - that all of the little things were reminding me of the joy children experience nowadays, which also happened to be so elusive to adults.
I was blown away by the 5 days of fun in HK (Macau and Shenzhen too) and I felt the reality was a little cruel to pull us back to Singapore. Maybe it was because we had to attend school and get used to campus life all over again that made us recall so much about the trip, haha. Fond memories always.
Alright, here are some photos from the HK trip:
