Removed my braces already

Found myself so weird without braces now. Took it out last Saturday and I'm seriously not used to looking myself in the mirror and find nice and straight teeth in my mouth.

Anyway, I wasn't quite prepared to have my braces removed when I went for the dental appointment. When she removed it finally, it only took her 5 minutes and all of a sudden I felt my mouth 'naked' - empty from the bulges that used to occupy the spaces. The weirder part was to see my teeth in the mirror. Too damn surreal to explain.

22 months of braces were in fact fond memories and even though I always had trouble getting the food out after meals, I realised I enjoyed the process of putting braces more than I had expected - seeing my teeth becoming straighter after each visit. When my dentist showed me the mould of my teeth before putting braces, I was very certain the pain, trouble and the cost were all worthwhile.

Yup Ok, I was very tired from spending the day with Eileen at Sentosa (not much sun for tanning though..) and more so from the volleyball training. Tournament starting next Sunday, and I still feel tired going for every training, seems like I need more than just sufficient rest before I can keep my concentration on the court.

Anyway, yesterday was the 6th month we had been together and I'm really glad we've come this far. Many differences indeed, but we would always find a way to compromise and learn from one another. Hope we can progress further than the next half of 2007 and beyond.

Alright, still a long week ahead - 8th week of internship and I think I'll probably have to start coordinating some stuff for the upcoming presentation for the division....
