Everyone has a part to play and you can do better than the people around you, if you believe.

What's important:
1) Helping others with your abilities and not just with money
2) Looking good and of course important, that's basic self respect
3) Feel important and be useful, there's a place for everyone in this world, find yours
4) Love those worth loving, family, friends, idols, dogs etc
5) Stay true to yourself, that's an often overlooked source of happiness

IPPT Siao liao...

97th entry: 16july2007 02:13
listening to: when you're gone - avril lavigne

Took IPPT last Saturday with Benny and Benjamin. The f*cked up part was to wake up at 6 plus in the morning, and I haven't exactly tasted the feeling of waking up when the sky's still dark in a long time... Even now when I have to work at OCBC, I usually wake up at 730am and the sky would already have been bright.

Anyway, I scraped through this round of IPPT, could have gotten silver if not for my weakest station: 2.4km run. Haven't had the time to train for this IPPT at all, really busy with other stuff. I could still remember how I wanted to become fitter during this internship, telling myself to work out and run more regularly and all. But something happened during the past few weeks which had kept me procrastinating, or rather losing motivation to run...

I only managed to pass 2.4km by 5 seconds... my timing was 12:15, and actually I wasn't exactly dissatisfied with this timing (considering my lack of prep training) but I was indeed disgusted by my current level of fitness. Whatever lah, got $100 as incentive so it wasn't really that bad.

This week's my last week at OCBC. After this internship, I guess I won't have much excuse to procrastinate and I really hope I can regain some motivation to staying healthy and keeping myself fit. Forget about training just for passing IPPT, do it for yourself, for your own health and when you reap the benefits years down the road, you'll realise all the hard work and sacrifices are all worthwhile.

So much for keeping fit and staying healthy, I wish this last week of internship at OCBC wouldn't be too quick, cos when Friday comes I'll have to bid goodbye to the other interns, to workng life, to the perm staff, to the good and cheap food at Golden Shoe, to everything that made the past ten weeks so memorable and enjoyable.
