Everyone has a part to play and you can do better than the people around you, if you believe.

What's important:
1) Helping others with your abilities and not just with money
2) Looking good and of course important, that's basic self respect
3) Feel important and be useful, there's a place for everyone in this world, find yours
4) Love those worth loving, family, friends, idols, dogs etc
5) Stay true to yourself, that's an often overlooked source of happiness

Writing 2006 off, very soon...

79th entry: 27december2006 00:21
listening to: here without you - 3 doors down
invincible - muse

I'm back from Shanghai. Besides the persistent cough, the souvenirs and my cool Espirit bag, I've brought back with me genuine and unforgettable memories. This overseas CIP trip has made me see things from a different perspective, made me treasure what I have now, made me reflect on who I am, made me less critical and more loving to others. I've learnt many good lessons throughout the entire journey, even though I might appear to be stoning at times (the freezing cold weather was our justificaton for those stoning moments).

There's no way I can describe my feelings and thoughts in every detail through this blog. I feel so much more than words, so much more than pictures, so much more... If I could capture every moment that I felt so alive and real, every moment that touched me deeply, I guess I'll probably stayed on for months to take all of them down. But I believe when it's time to leave the place and move on with life, sad feelings were inevitable and I must say that the kids had an easier time of parting because they are still young and less likely to feel the effects of leaving someone and not being able to see them ever again.

This trip has ended 2006 on a high note. The great company, the team dynamics (dearest weina and jingyang chose the team well), the kids that made me smile and tear (almost..), the difference in lifestyle and culture, the adrenaline of travelling, the idea of helping people and enriching ourselves at the same time. I couldn't be more thankful for this wonderful opportunity.

I'll try to post the numerous photos here (if not you can check my friendster too) asap. Looking back, I feel this year has been great. Except for the few downs, I'm still rather happy to write 2006 off with a smile.

For the past 2 days after the trip, I'm done with reconciliating with the fact that my holidays are very numbered... I guess I'll have only enough time to settle pre-school-term stuff, looking for job offers, meeting up with friends, shopping for clothes and relaxing and slacking for the remaining little time. Year 1 Sem 2's going to be a blast, wait till summer arrives hahah...

And believe it or not, I've been bloggin for nearly 2 years. Not that I'm a frequent blogger, but I think blogging has become a part of my lifestyle. My way of letting friends know how and who I am, my noticeboard, my collage board, my ideas on a palette, my preferences and dislikes.. I'm writing off this year very soon, new year resolutions in the pipeline, leaving everything to the final few days of 2006.
