All good things should come to an end

Most of us probably really wish all good things never come to an end. If only...

Right now, I'm just done with my packing and I'm ready for the Shanghai trip, ready for the cold weather, ready for the language barrier, ready for the personal challenges I've set for myself. However, there are things here which I think I'll miss quite alot and it makes me wonder how I'm going to cope when I leave for exchange in Year 3 (likely). Anyway, I need some time to feel and be around my family before I leave and I'm quite sure they will miss me as much as I miss them. Of course, I requested for a good hawker dinner before flying off tonight! (The same old glutton Clemence...)

I was thinking through the things that are good and yet never come to an end. But, I could not seem find anything of significance. Maybe the saying is indeed true.. (as much as I do not wish to believe it's true). I think if all good things never come to an end, we probably will take things for granted and end up living a life unsatisfied and meaningless. So, maybe it's not such a bad idea if we can learn to part with good things and learn to accept them as part of life. Somehow or rather, a part of human beings are programmed to adapt to changes. Do not fret as more good things may follow after one has ended!

I was asking around my SMU friends how they are finding university life and how satisfied they are with themselves and their current lifestyles. A wide range of answers I had gathered. Actually most of my friends are also taking this short december break to travel and relax, especially after a hectic and crazy semester in school. Really hope you guys can encounter some pleasures in life during these few weeks! Looking forward to meeting up with old friends over Christmas and of course looking forward to starting school real ready and fresh! Now it's time for a short nap before a scrumptious dinner, then off to the airport!
