And I just felt like blogging

Tomorrow's the last day of November and the last official day of school for Term 1. My 2 last papers (Analytical Skills & Business Law) - the two courses which I find harder to manage. Anyway, I'm not exactly sure why I have the mood to blog right now... I was feeling a little retrospective a while ago and I was recalling the days when I was working as a relief teacher, camp instructor and other temp jobs. And the Bangkok trip and the Taiwan trip. And all the orientation activities. And the first few weeks of school when everything was still in 'relaxed' mode. I really hate to admit that time indeed flies... and good times are never long enough.

Then came midterms and those endless project deadlines, assignments, presentations... I can never forget the late days I had spent in SMU chiong-ing and trying to meet deadlines, the last train to Pasir Ris at 1209am at City Hall MRT, the last feeder bus at 1240am at Pasir Ris Interchange. All these somehow have become second nature to me (which most people will find it sad to mention), BUT I'm actually enjoying almost every moment of university life actually - regardless of the stress and amount of work needed to be done.

During those times, I think I was in school more than I was at home. That made me really guilty as I hadn't had a meal with my parents for weeks. That's on top of the fact that my parents are away on a holiday now and my brother is in camp (as usual). Especially for the past few days, when the house was so quiet, I felt grateful for the elusive silence, but I missed my family so much more. Now I realise how little time I have been spending with them ever since school started.

I believe next term is going to be pretty much the same as this, even though I have 2 free days I don't really foresee having much personal time to relax and unwind. I should start planning what I want for myself next term.... Of course, I also hope to find more time for the people I love and treasure so much.

Alright, I guess I'll return to mugging now, hanging on for 16 more hours and I'm officially done with Term 1! Good luck to everyone who's taking AS and Biz Law finals tomorrow!
