SMU Week One: 'quietly' rocks!!

well, the first week of school has passed and it wasn't as bad as i had thought. my 4 day week timetable wasn't considered the killer, until my 5th module and creative thinking (which will start midterm) both come my way. not forgetting the ccas and projects and endless readings to accomplish...

just an idea of how smu life is about: interactive seminar-style lessons, quirky profs, hang-outs around town after school, hang-outs along concourse between lessons, plenty of loud hi-s along the corridor, projects!! basically, i'm enjoying life as a student now, -please ignore- the getting up early for lessons, being competitive for A's, preparing for projects and presentations and of course learning to speak up more during lessons. I feel great knowing that there is this bunch of fun-loving people who take pride in being unique and confident, and of course also trying their best to make the best out of their prime times of lives.

i'm really quite adept at adapting to changes. when i was feeling like sh*t on monday, i was feeling superb after vivace (cca day!) talking about vivace, i hoped i had not signed up for too many ccas... only wanted a couple of which i'm really interested in and willing to sacrifice my time for. only complaint has to be the huge crowds at the concourse, creating traffic bottlenecks esp. that whole stretch outside booklink to ocbc. never mind that, i'm looking forward to trying out the different ccas and eventually settle down with the 'few'.

also enjoyed the convenience of meeting up with friends! met up with yixiu and a few of the 2F gang for dinner on thursday. Had a blasting good time at mind cafe along boat quay, in particular the 'say what' game!! also met up with ejia and tim at raffles city on wed. some photos we took while we were at BnJ's.





next week: busy as usual! my tues will still be free for recuperation and extra-curricular activities!! feel free to ask me out on tues, although i may reject your request cos my free day is especially important to me! haha. much to look forward to in the coming weeks, to my friends who are overseas either on exchange or serious mugging, all the best and stay healthy dudes!! send me a postcard when you are free.
