Everyone has a part to play and you can do better than the people around you, if you believe.

What's important:
1) Helping others with your abilities and not just with money
2) Looking good and of course important, that's basic self respect
3) Feel important and be useful, there's a place for everyone in this world, find yours
4) Love those worth loving, family, friends, idols, dogs etc
5) Stay true to yourself, that's an often overlooked source of happiness

My room's so messy, I'm feeling the same as well

The past week was a blast. Matriculation was a flop, I forgot to get my dad to sign on the tuition grant form. I felt like an idiot when I realised how forgetful I was. On the whole, the trip to SMU to settle admin issues was a waste of time, cos I bet I could also have done everything online. Now, I'm a little unsettled which laptop I should get (don't really feel like getting such common ones from SMU).

Went JB with Tim and Liting on Tues. I was super angry when I had to wait more than an hour for the two of them. When you have to wait very long for either one, two of them together can drive you mad. However, we had fun eating and shopping although only for a few hours. When school starts, I believe we'll have even less time to meet up with one another, esp. Liting is leaving for Sweden on student exchange. Too bad Tingyi and Tecko didn't join us this time round.

Wednesday was disappointing... Went Sentosa with yong and chang and the weather was far from nice. In fact, it seemed as if a storm was imminent. The last time we were there (with kat and qiuping), it was also damn disappointing... So we concluded that one of us jinxed Sentosa, maybe we should conduct an experiment. Then I had to rush to attend a camp briefing at Camp HA, cos next Monday I'm required to help out with some camp for NIE trainees. I'm gonna enjoy myself interacting with those people, I can predict! However it may feel weird leading them on with cheers or playing icebreaker games with a bunch of older people, it doesn't matter lah!

So because of the briefing, I was super late for the Econs OG meetup at Marche. There was obviously not enough space to squeeze the entire group, so it was even more awkward when I had to squeeze in.. But after that, when we started playing card games the atmosphere loosened up a little. I think it's a rather good idea to meet up first before the orientation camp, cos the camp itself is only 2-day long. Shit lah, I'm going to be late again for the camp cos I have to attend the OCBC ceremony. Hope I don't miss out on most of the fun in Sentosa...

Friday was a blast! Went cycling and kayaking with yong, qiuping and serene at ECP, and it was great to sweat and soak up the sun. So I ended up sunburnt and aching like mad, what more I had badminton with the usual gang at night. Super tired out.. After ECP, we went to watch this witty comedy 'Thank You For Smoking' at Cathay, enjoyed the show even it was so different from the usual action flicks, animated films or romcoms I'm more inclined to watch. And then, we were all freezing in the cinema cos we were in beach gear and the aircon was blasting (of course the cinema was rather empty too).

Feels a little strange to be at home on a Sat evening... haven't done that in a while. My room has been left untidy for months, maybe I will clean it up later, if not there won't be time to do so when school starts. In the meanwhile, I'm going to have a chat with my dad, I think he has something to tell me too.

(Oh yah, watched the singapore idol results show that day... Gayle was eliminated! Damn sad lah!! She has such a nice voice and affable character, what a pity...)
