Cool dude on the prowl

Attended the OCBC scholarship presentation ceremony cum lunch reception on Thurs with my parents. All I can say was the event was overwhelmingly cool, and I felt very proud and honoured to be there with my dad and mum! I also had the chance to thank the 2 persons who made it for me, really had a good talk with them during the interview months ago! Anyway, the opportunity to mingle with the staff and past scholars and the CEO was totally cool. It didn't matter that I did not take any photos to remember the event cos this fond memory will last for a lifetime anyway!

Rushed to Sentosa after that for the SMU Econs Orientation Camp. Felt bad joining the group late once again, missed out on the fun they had in the morning (which included getting wet) but anyway, my group still had fun hanging out together during the camp. Although I felt it was just a little too short for an orientation camp, it was cool to know the bunch of econs people I'll see around in campus for the next few years. Kudos to the 2 facis too, who had to join us in all the activities for the 2 days (except the ridiculous forfeit of dressing up as nerds, holding hands while walking through citylink). I'll see you guys around in campus man, then maybe can jio each other for lunch or coffee breaks!

After the camp, I met up with the entire bunch of army dudes (KS was absent again) to celebrate winston's belated 21st. It had been a long time since we last gathered to talk cock, cos everyone was busy and working and studying... So although I couldn't join in for the steamboat (wah really missed cheong-ing the beef and prawns man!), we had fun chilling out at Cartel till late. I believe when school starts, we won't have much opportunities to meet up and talk cock with the same strength...

Besides that, the weekend was spent catching up on lost sleep and pigging out at ECP hawker centre and bowling. The bowling was hilariously memorable (at least for me!) cos I thrashed my personal best without realising! I think benny and benjamin were a little shocked at my great form during the last few games haha!

One of the last few weekends before the start of the academic year, and I can't help but think of the busy study schedule and lost sleep. Heck it, maybe I'll start worrying when school really starts. Anyway, I'll be attending the comm service camp from tomorrow till Thurs, looking forward to interacting with the people and the beneficiaries.
