Everyone has a part to play and you can do better than the people around you, if you believe.

What's important:
1) Helping others with your abilities and not just with money
2) Looking good and of course important, that's basic self respect
3) Feel important and be useful, there's a place for everyone in this world, find yours
4) Love those worth loving, family, friends, idols, dogs etc
5) Stay true to yourself, that's an often overlooked source of happiness

C'mon! Step into the world

59th entry: 17july2006 01:50
listening to: qiao qiao gao su ta - nan quan ma ma

Great! Finished my one-month job stint at SIA Engr last Friday and I believed that marked the end of the few months of temp job-hopping. I must say the past months spent working (and slacking too) were refreshing experiences. The few jobs I've tried include: relief teacher at Poi Ching and Yu Neng Pri, Sentosa event helper (some beach vball competition), camp instructors with Compassvale Sec and East View Sec, admin job at SIAEC. Oh yah, also the stationery fair assistant job with my army kakis! Haha, almost forgot about that...

True enough, I agree working isn't really fun. Besides the fact that temp workers have less responsibility, then working with friends is a blast compared to working alone, I still think working, in general, can get very mundane and unmotivational. That left me thinking about the impending start of the academic year, which doesn't look inviting too. Reasons aplenty....

Anyway, I looked back at the first 6 months of 2006 and I couldn't be more satisfied with what I have done. The 2 trips to Bangkok and Taipei were the main highlights cos I'm positive the fond memories from these trips will be with me always. ORD seemed less significant in comparison, sorry to add.

This weekend was super shiok too! Besides the weekly fix of badminton with my army friends at Tamp SAFRA and the post-badminton talk cock session with benjamin and ks until 2plus am, I also managed to squeeze in a quick gym workout between my tuition commitments on sat, mahjong with army friends, tennis with tim on sun (haven't played in months, super shiok to swing my racket again) and ktv with chang and yong. Hah, such a packed weekend was cool!

Next week is going to start off with matric on mon, I just hope I don't end up feeling like sh*t again after realising how unprepared I am for university. Talking about that, I still haven't gathered the stuff I need for tomorrow. Really procrastinated like crazy cos whenever I start thinking of uni stuff, it just left me with too many thoughts and procedures that I gave up thinking after a minute or two. Alright, I'll wake up slightly earlier tomorrow to settle everythig at one go, but I need the sleep leh... considering that I have been sacrificing my sleep for the past month because of work.

Last of all, thanks to Kailing for posting comments on my blog! Same to the rest who bothers to check this out on a regular basis (feel free to leave comments), maybe I'll 'import' a tagboard soon for more interaction! Ok, my hair is almost dry now, time for sleep...
