in need for space

listening to: if i were you - hoobastank

after a hectic week of shuttling around, i feel that i'm in great need of some space for myself. simply to rest and relax and think over stuff. i think it's about time that i fall sick after a tiring week but i don't want that to happen and definitely not next week when i'll be travelling in taiwan. hmm, or maybe i should fall sick before i fly off...

right now, i'm thinking of venturing to some secluded place with a great view and some light breeze. the first place that came to my mind was the not-yet-developed sentosa cove area, which i went with my family just to take a look weeks ago. that place is fantastic, breeze, sun, sand and sea and of course SPACE. i'm beginning to realise that singapore is really quite short of open spaces and scenic locations to enjoy a 'full meal' of fresh air and quietness. at this moment, some neighbour of mine is doing some renovation to his house and the deafening noise is driving me crazy. i'm rushing out this entry so as to get out of the house to escape the noise...

alright, so much for the need for spaces. i'm certain i'll be more driven to find such places during my taiwan trip, so looking forward to it. talking about the trip, i had an interesting revelation when i went for my dental checkup at selarang. i met dingding there and we had a hearty chat about the old times, jc classmates, studies, NS/BMT and all and when the topic changed to ORD celebrations, the unexpected happened! I still can't believe that by such immense coincidence, we are going taiwan on the exact same day on the same flight!! haha, yong chuen will be thrilled when he learns about this, and i'm glad that such serendipity can occur in my life. And that reminds me of the movie ' Serendipity', one of my faves. which reminds me of the movie screening back in JC by the student council which i didn't attend...

by the way, feel free to leave me messages on my blog!! and also check out this new single by hoobastank - if i were you (which i'm listening to right now amidst the noisy background), their third album ' every man for himself' will be out in april!! this new song is really quite cool, almost comparable to the hit ' the reason'!!
