Bangkok crazy!

last week's trip to bangkok was a blast and indeed a good start to this new year! had so much fun shopping for cool tshirts and jeans, accessories, caps, berms, foodstuff etc, travelling around on tuk-tuks, ultra-cheap cabs and MRT, gorging on super affordable and tasty roadside snacks. Couldn't forget the beef kwayteow soup, fried pork/chicken with garlic, fried chicken wings, mussel omelette!! haha sounds like a really good trip right?

the shopping there is simply unmatched, the low prices, wide variety, cool designs, bargaining shiok-ness and all made me rate bangkok shopping a 9 out of 10! another highlight of the trip had to be the thai traditional massage which only set me back 12 sing dollars. for that 12 dollars, i had 2 hours of sheer relaxation! i bet fook, winston and new will agree with me on this!

yup also found the tuk-tuk ride at night to be one of the most memorable moments too. i was really quite fascinated at the agility of that small vehicle and of course the driver's adept manoeuvring skills. look at the way he sped away and cut lanes and probably you'll be too afraid to pick up driving in bangkok! haha

all in all, i had great fun spending, sweating (the weather is mercilessly hot when we were there), tasting, travelling, taking photos and bargaining! even though the 6 of us were all travelling on a rather tight budget, i believe the fun and excitement weren't the least bit compromised. cool! feel like revisiting the city some other time and explore the other attractions that it has to offer. in the meanwhile, i have to start worrying about the money i need for my taiwan trip in a few weeks' time...
