Everyone has a part to play and you can do better than the people around you, if you believe.

What's important:
1) Helping others with your abilities and not just with money
2) Looking good and of course important, that's basic self respect
3) Feel important and be useful, there's a place for everyone in this world, find yours
4) Love those worth loving, family, friends, idols, dogs etc
5) Stay true to yourself, that's an often overlooked source of happiness

My feet are screaming for a massage

32th entry: 3november2005 01:40
listening to: 'start' album - stefanie sun

first of all lets celebrate the arrival of november! have been rather enthusiastic in welcoming each new month since june and i think the reason is clear.

hmm seems like i'm becoming more of a suburban guy than a town guy... have been glad to travel within tampines and anywhere in the east, somewhere less crowded and fast-paced. maybe the fact that i've been travelling to places like pasir laba camp, NUS, nee soon camp that i'm finding myself lazier to venture out of the east... if only i have my own car to zip around with.

anyway, explored town the whole day today and my legs are suffering right now from too much walking. why do i sound like some country bumpkin? haha
by the way, went window shopping with tingyi and we walked the whole stretch of orchard from plaza sing to far east. and i realised my stamina for shopping have dropped drastically since god-knows-when. i believe guys are simply not cut out for long hours of shopping. or maybe shopping isn't much of a pleasure in singapore, i feel if i could see more affordable and less common stuff that i like i can very well imagine myself with huge bags of stuff. that just explains why singaporeans flock to bangkok, hongkong or kuala lumpur to stock up on their wardrobes, coupled with cheaper prices and more quirky finds and a whole new shopping experience, it's not easy to resist the shopping bug.

anyway, i realised that the service standards have improved slightly too, glad that the move towards better sales service is in gradual progression.

yup so much being really tired from window shopping, i still had to walk around town after dinner. this time round with douglas. first bugis then national library (which was really impressive i thought) then SMU campus then raffles city then marina square then suntec city and finally back to the mrt station. i believed i'd walked a full marathon today...

alright the national library was really impressive, the architectural design very contemporary, the collection of fiction and magazines more extensive and the idea of chilling out at the cool studying corners, while studying in SMU next year, makes me really excited!

ok a considerably tiring day for me, though i don't forsee myself shopping in quite a while, i still need to compose a shopping list in time for christmas. there are really quite a lot of things that i need to get...and i think by then i'll be more than willing to get totally shagged out from sale frenzies!
