hey guys, bet you have been wondering why i had been away for more than a month... that is if you have been reading my blogs, thank you for your appreciation! oh my com suffered from normal wear and tear so had to get it repaired, soon i'll get it replaced but erm ... no money to get a new one, so i'll just leave with this...

basically have been bumming around quite alot in may, enjoying the block offs after ex highnoon in taiwan! too much hassle to fill you guys in for the whole of may, so i'll start with june.

went bowling last week (again...) with a few of the regular kakis, haha can be considered as clandestine or affectionately known as SECRET TRAINING, oops supposed to keep it secret but im typing it in caps haha! anyway i bowled my highest ever (172!) and i had to boast so in the end everyone knew about the secret training, nothing much to hide i guess... that is followed by yesterday's bowling session no.2, did quite alright but still plenty of room for improvement. and that will probably mean more money spent on training, omg.. anyway i tried to curb my expenditure for june05, but seriously i think i failed it just by the 3rd day, cos i spent half of what i should spent for the whole month.... rather unbelievable but i still stand a chance at success cos im going for surgery later this month. that will save me a great deal as i'll be at home recuperating! blessing in disguise! haha

yup went out with someone i haven't met in ages. at first i thought we were probably going to end up feeling awkward with plenty of moments of silence but it turned out the exact opposite way. im so glad we had so much to reminisce about, to engage in similar interests, to simply talk about anything that came to mind. actually she did more talking than i did and i sort of enjoyed it more, cos it can be rather tiring to talk all the time.. in the end had a great laugh watching madagascar, though i think it paled in comparison to shrek or finding nemo.

the next 2 days were spent with my parents in malacca. first attempt for me at backpacking - searching for reasonable and clean budget hotels (not as easy as i thought), walking around the town under the scorching hot sun, patronising the streetside foodstalls (the char kway teow was probably the best and the cheapest i've tasted!), navigating with the aid of a map and the most hair-raising part of the trip would have to be getting the last 3 tickets out of malacca and back to singapore! seriously we didn't expect the tickets to be sold out so soon on sundays, but we were terribly wrong cos when we made our way to the terminal, we were shocked to learn that almost all the buses leaving malacca were packed! frantically searching for one, we failed and ended buying tickets to johor where we could transfer onto a bus back to s'pore... however we were really lucky that just 15 mins before the bus left, 3 seats miraculously appeared at one of the counters and we had that little time to make our refunds (so lucky to be refunded!!), get our chow, buy the remaining few tickets, rush to the toilet and find our bus. yup what a close shave! it almost felt like one of the scenes off amazing race.

on the whole, i really enjoyed the malacca trip, took it as a great chance to take my mind off anything back at home, and travelling with my parents though more restricted but i feel safer and really enjoyed their company, or should it be the other way round? they enjoying my company... not quite sure, took quite alot of nice photos of malacca and though we didn't explore the town thoroughly i bet we didn't miss out the most interesting parts either!

yup then came the second week of my block off, sub some guy for cos duty today, though i had quite a busy day running errands, making endless phone calls, answering many as well and entertaining poeple, i had quite a good time doing duty albeit really tired out.. then came tuition which i spent the whole 2 hours blabbering , my throat really became dry man.. think they understood what i was talking about.

oh yah finally, im also very glad that my com is up and running, miss playing the songs on media player, checking mail slowly, blogging, transfering songs into my phone etc. i was just so helpless without it the whole of last week (had to spent my time reading books) so so glad its back! alright i guess i've written alot, oh yah need to exercise tml to lose off some weight that i put on over the weekend...
